Social media is buzzing with concern and speculation after a series of strange and disturbing events surrounding Priscilla Ojo and her mother, popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. What started as a trending moment for Priscilla’s celebrated Tanzanian wedding has now spiraled into something darker, as allegations of threats, arson, and sabotage grip the public’s attention.
According to reports, Iyabo Ojo’s Lagos office caught fire around 7 p.m. yesterday. Fortunately, emergency services arrived swiftly and contained the fire before it could cause significant damage. While there were no reported injuries, many close to the family believe this was not an accident.
The fire incident came just a day before Priscilla Ojo took to social media to post a disturbing letter dated May 24, 2025, just days before her wedding ceremony in Tanzania. The letter, addressed to Iyabo Ojo, carried threats from an unnamed group that accused the actress of “ruining people’s lives” and vowed to destroy her daughter’s marriage within three months.
“You put someone in trouble and you out enjoying giving out your daughter in marriage abi? O ma laya o. You can’t escape in the next 3 months as we are out monitoring you. Watch out. We shall render that your daughter married useless and rubbish it with scatter scatter. That your daughter will not enjoy her marriage. Sebi we were all there on that wedding day. Watch and see. – Aggrieved Group,”
The letter read.
Priscilla, clearly disturbed by the contents, suggested that the same people behind the letter might be responsible for the fire at her mother’s office. She also revealed that efforts are underway to identify the dispatch person who delivered the letter. In response, the family has now increased their security measures, including installing additional CCTV cameras.
However, the internet is divided. While many fans, especially on X and TikTok, have expressed concern for the safety of the Ojo family, others believe the entire situation might be orchestrated. A section of Nigerians online claim this could be a PR stunt, possibly part of a docuseries or upcoming YouTube content aimed at staying relevant in the ever-competitive influencer space.
Despite the doubts, others argue that even if there is clout-chasing involved, threats of this nature and an actual office fire should not be taken lightly. For now, both Iyabo and Priscilla have remained firm in their belief that someone, possibly from “the other side of the family,” is trying to disrupt what was meant to be a joyful season. Take a look at this:
Whether this plays out as a real-life family crisis or a perfectly timed digital series rollout, only time will tell. But one thing is certain: all eyes are now on the Ojos.
