Bobby Shmurda Addresses Canceled Tour Amid Claims of Low Ticket Sales

Rapper Bobby Shmurda has broken his silence after canceling his “Still Alive Tour,” which was supposed to start on May 15, 2025, in cities like Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Houston, and Boston.

What Went Wrong?

A few days before the tour was set to begin, Shmurda posted on Instagram. He told fans he was sorry and blamed the tour’s failure on his booking agents, Philip Stengel from Halo Touring and Sergio Patillo from Oakstreet Media. Shmurda said they didn’t manage the tour properly and hinted that he might take legal action.

But Philip Stengel fired back. He said the real reason for the cancellation was low ticket sales—only about 10 tickets sold per city. He even shared screenshots to prove his point. According to him, there just wasn’t enough interest to make the tour work.

“It wasn’t possible to move forward.”

Industry Issues

This isn’t the first time Shmurda has spoken about problems in the music industry. Since leaving prison in 2021, he’s claimed that big record labels and streaming services are ignoring him. He believes it’s because he refuses to follow certain trends, like painting his nails, that other artists use to gain attention.

What’s Next?

Even with all the setbacks, Shmurda isn’t giving up. He’s working on new songs and has plans to release a book about his life, career, and experiences in the industry.

Fans are still hopeful that he’ll return to the stage soon—this time on his terms.
